Sports an imp focus area of Punjab govt, reiterates Minister

Chandigarh, January 7: Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Investment Promotion, Labour,
Hospitality and Grievance Redressal Cabinet Minister Ms Anmol Gagan Mann today visited the grand wrestling competition program organized by the villagers at village Kansal of district SAS Nagar.

Addressing the gathering, the Cabinet Minister said the state government is continuously striving for the all-round development of the people of all sections. She explained that many decisions have been taken in public interest to make Punjab a leading state in the field of sports and to keep the youth away from drugs.

The minister asserted that the Punjab government is working on zero tolerance against corruption and strict steps have been taken by the government against the corrupt.

The cabinet minister said that labor cards will be made soon by setting up a camp at village Kansal so that the benefits of various schemes of the government under the labor department can reach the needy.

Meanwhile, the villagers also informed the cabinet minister about other problems of the village, after hearing which the cabinet minister assured to solve all the problems soon. After this, she also inspected the pond under the development of the village Kansal and also got information from the people about other necessary development works of the village.

On this occasion, among the organizers of the wrestling competition program, Hermesh Singh Meshi MC,Darbara Singh, Harjinder Singh, Harwinder Gir, Dippi and other sports lovers were present.
