Sukhbir Badal is lying, the government will not give even a drop extra water to Rajasthan – AAP

Date:

Chandigarh, May 24

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has denied the talk of giving more water to Rajasthan. The AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that Sukhbir Badal is lying on the issue of water. He said that the Mann government is not going to give even a drop extra water to Rajasthan.

Through a video on Wednesday, Kang hit back at Sukhbir Badal and said that Sukhbir Badal was deliberately spreading lies to defame Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party. But now the people of Punjab are not going to be misled by his lies.

Kang said that Punjab is already acutely short of water, so there is not even a possibility of giving more water to other states. He said that there has never been any talk of giving more water than what is going to Rajasthan for the last 60-70 years. Rajasthan will not get even a drop extra water than that.

He said that the opposition is accusing the Mann government of giving Punjab’s water to other states, while the fact is that the Mann government is continuously taking major decisions to save Punjab’s water and improve the condition of farmers and agriculture. The Mann Government is working to irrigate fields with canal water, where canal water has not reached for years, so that ground water can be saved. Opposition parties are unable to digest these steps, that is why many opposition leaders are telling lies to defame the Mann government.
