CHANDIGARH, JUNE 9:
Punjab Jails Minister Sukhjinder Sing Randhawa on Wednesday condoled the untimely and sad demise of DSP (Security), Central Jail, Ludhiana Harjinder Singh who breathed his last today in a private Hospital at Ludhiana.
Jails Minister shared his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, relatives and friends in this hour of grief and prayed to the Almighty to give strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
In a condolence message S. Randhawa said, “Deeply saddened to learn that our brilliant Officer, despite best medical efforts, lost the battle against Post-Covid illness. Punjab Government stand by his family in their hour of grief and will do everything to support them.” He remembered the DSP as a courageous officer, who always discharged his duties with utmost dedication, sincerity and professional commitment. Recalling his outstanding services in the Punjab police force and Jail Department, the Minister said Harjinder Singh would remain an inspiration for the young officers in uniform.
He further said that the Punjab Government was ensuring best and free medical treatment to the late DSP besides the Chief Minister already directed to bear all the expenses incurred on the medical treatment of the said officer. The top medical experts were monitoring his treatment round the clock in line with directions of the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary Jails DK Tiwari and ADGP Jails PK Sinha also mourned the passing away of DSP Harjinder Singh and extended their condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
