Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, Manish Tiwari, Dr. Raj Kumar meet Amit Shah for tracing of Persons missing on Republic Day in National Capital

Punjab Cabinet Ministers Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Mr. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, Member Parliament Mr. Manish Tiwari and MLA Dr. Raj Kumar today called upon Home Minister Amit Shah at New Delhi today to trace the whereabouts of persons, missing since January 26 in the national capital during Kisan Tractor Parade.

While interacting with media after the Meeting Mr. Randhawa and Mr. Sarkaria said that in order to fight the legal cases of persons arrested by the Delhi Police, the Punjab Government has formed a team of 40 advocates who has already started their work. He said that these advocates would meet the arrested persons and their families and fight legal battle to provide justice to these persons free of cost. The Cabinet Ministers also informed that they also appealed the central government for lenient view towards the arrested persons.

The Ministers further pointed out that feeling the pain of families of missing persons, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had contacted the Union Home Minister which lead to today`s meeting being held to find the whereabouts of these missing persons. “During the meeting Union Home Minister informed that the list of arrested persons has been uploaded on the Home Ministry`s website and If the state government provides any other list of missing persons the Central Government would leave no stone unturned to find the whereabouts of such persons, “informed S. Randhawa adding that the response of Mr. Shah was positive on this sensitive issue.

On the deadlock between the Centre Government and Kisan Unions pertaining to the three farm Laws, S. Randhawa said that on this point Union Home Minister informed that the central government is ready for talks and waiting for farmers` response regarding the same. “The Chief Minister has called an all party meeting on Feb 2nd to evolve a consensus on the way forward on the issue of the Farm Laws and the Farmer’s agitation in the light of the recent developments in Delhi,” revealed the Minister.
