Chandigarh, September 3: The leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Sukhpal Singh Khaira along with veteran communist leader Joginder Dyal on Sunday received a Vietnamese delegation at Punjab Bhawan, Sector 3, Chandigarh.
The delegation headed by Mr. Bui Khac Son, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and Mr. Ha Minh Hue, Vice President of the Vietnam-India Friendship Association is on two-day tour to Chandigarh to celebrate the 9th Vietnam-India Friendship Festival 2017.
Addressing the delegation, Khaira said that in the terms of struggle, Punjab and Vietnam share a great bondage as both have fought for social, political and economic liberation. He said that Punjab is primarily an agriculture state producing rice and wheat as major crops like Vietnam. The LoP said that the cultural richness also connects Punjab and Vietnam as both have protected their cultures very well.
The interactive session was followed by lunch at Punjab Bhawan.
