Sunil Jakhar advises Delhi Deputy Chief Minister not to talk childishly

Date:

Chandigarh, 12 February

Punjab Congress President Sunil Jakhar termed the statement of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia that Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were friends and Punjab Congress was against the farmers as childish and advised Sisodia that now this is his third innings as a member of the Legislative Assembly and he should learn some qualities from mature politicians.

Mr. Sunil Jakhar while questioning the Aam Aadmi Party for changing its stand on farmers laws time and again questioned that they first supported the bills brought by Capt. Amarinder Singh’s government against the central laws then opposed them, first issuing notification by the Delhi government to implement such black bills and then to go to the Delhi Vidhan Sabha and pretend to tear up copies of the laws, despite the fact that the Vigilance Department is under the jurisdiction of the Chief Minister of Delhi not investigating the reasons behind the torture of farmers by some officers and employees of Delhi Police and pretending to understand the plight of the farmers, from all this, what do the people of Punjab understand about the intention of the Aam Aadmi Party?

Punjab Congress President challenged Sisodia and other AAP leadership to clarify his party’s last stand during his visit to Punjab. He said that how long will their party leaders continue to divert the attention of the people from their stains by throwing mud on others. Mr. Jakhar said that it was Capt. Amarinder Singh who not only ensured that the farmers were allowed to carry out their struggle peacefully despite the pressure from the Centre but also offered them all the help and leadership to be at the forefront of the struggle. Mr. Jakhar said that respecting the decision of the farmers leaders to keep the political parties out of the struggle, the Punjab Congress through its MPs, MLAs, workers and Panch-Sarpanches has been making their contribution to the struggle from the very beginning.

Mr. Sunil Jakhar questioned that while the farmers of Punjab were struggling within the state, did Arvind Kejriwal ever raise his voice in favor of the farmers? Did any leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, who was busy enjoying power in Delhi, dare to raise his voice against the Centre before Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh took the initiative?

The Punjab Congress President said that the Aam Aadmi Party should not even bother to explain to the people of Punjab about their false propaganda of any Congress leader supporting the BJP Government because, since the last few years in one way or another, AAP has been fighting in favour of the BJP government at the Centre, then why should not they be termed as the B team of BJP ?
