The Indian Ministry of Tourism and Culture organized three road shows at Glasgow, Manchester (U.K) and Dublin (Ireland) to promote Indian tourism. Punjab Tourism & Cultural Affairs, Technical Education and Employment Generation Minister Charanjit Singh Channi represented the state at the road show held at Glasgow.
The Punjab Police has busted a terrorist module of the revived Khalistan Zindabad Force, backed by a Pakistan and Germany-based terror group that was conspiring to unleash a series of terrorist strikes in Punjab and/or adjoining states. A huge cache of arms, including 5 AK-47 rifles, pistols, satellite phones and hand grenades, were seized from their possession.
