Chandigarh/Mohali, July 27:
The Punjab Government stands fully committed to undertake every step for the welfare of each section of the society besides raising their standard of living. In a meeting at Sector 68 forest complex in Mohali with the organizations connected with the forest department, the Forest Minister Mr. Lal Chand Kataruchak said that it is the sincere endeavour of the State Government to cover as many as adhoc employees under the ambit of Regularization for which a sub committee has also been formed.
Divulging further, the Minister said that the State Government has initiated the process to make recruitments to the 26454 posts in various departments so as to ensure smooth functioning of the State machinery. On the issue of the salaries of the employees of Forest Department, Mr. Kataruchak said that the payment of salaries related to the CAMPA scheme pertaining to the months of April, May and June has been assured by the Union Government by August 1 and the department would try its level best to credit the same into the accounts of workers by August 10. Regarding the seniority list of the employees, the Minister said that after rectifying the mistakes, if any, in the list these should be provided to the employees organizations.
The Minister further disclosed that approximately 400 acres of the illegally encroached land belonging to the forest department has been freed. Divulging more, Mr. Kataruchak stated that the department has set a target of planting 1.20 crore saplings whereas under the CAMPA scheme 52 lakh and 58 lakh under Shaheed Bhagat Singh Haryaval Lehar would be planted apart from 40000 trivenis. He also directed that no sapling be purchased from the private nurseries.
