Three flights operating between Chandigarh and Delhi have been grounded on different days between January 18 and 26 because of airspace restrictions in the national capital for Republic Day rehearsals.
The move comes after the Delhi airport directed all airlines to cancel domestic flights between 10:30am and 12:15pm a week ahead of the Republic Day function.
Air India’s flight that departs for Delhi at 12:50pm has been called off from January 18 to 26, except on January 19 and 25. Jet Airways and Air Vistara’s flights at 10am and 12:15pm, respectively, will only operate on January 19, 21 and 25 during this period.
Two flights rescheduled
Meanwhile, Delhi-Srinagar flight via Chandigarh will land here at 10:45am instead of 11:30am and depart for Srinagar at 12pm during the period. Also, Jet Airways’ 11am flight to Delhi will leave at 12pm.
Mumbai flight hit too on R-day
Due to airspace restrictions on the route, Go Air’s Mumbai flight at 1:30pm will not operate on Republic Day.
