Though Varun Sharma aka Choocha is basking in the success of the second installment of the hit franchise ‘Fukrey’, he isn’t planning to restrict himself to just Hindi cinema. The Punjabi munda wants to do try his luck in regional cinema as well. The actor, who hails from Jalandhar, is all praises for the Punjabi film industry. Expressing his desire to be a part of it, he added that he will gladly do a Punjabi film if an interesting offer comes his way.
When asked about Punjabi cinema, which has registered good business in recent times, he told us, “The industry has grown by leaps and bounds. It is in a beautiful phase currently. They even have their own Filmfare awards.” Talking about the possibility of him taking up a Punjabi film, he said, “Why not? But the content has to be interesting, fun, unique and nice.”
‘Fukrey’ and ‘Fukrey’ Returns features Varun alongside Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh.
In Bollywood, Varun will next be seen in the Kriti Sanon-Diljit Dosanjh- starrer ‘Arjun Patiala’, which is a buddy-cop film. Varun will play the quirky character of Onida Singh. The film will also mark his third outing with Kriti, after ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Raabta’.
