Vidhan Sabha poll-Nomination papers not to be filed in 30 January: CEO

CHANDIGARH, January 29: The Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab Dr. S Karuna Raju on Saturday informed that no nomination papers for the Vidhan Sabha Polls would be filed on January 30, 2022 in view of holiday.

Disclosing this, Dr. S Karuna Raju said that as per the schedule announced to file nomination papers for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha Polls 2022 elections started with issuance of notification on 25 January, 2022 which would remain continue till 01 Febuary,2022.

The CEO informed that 30 January, 2022 being Sunday is a holiday. Therefore, nomination papers would not be presented to the Returning Officer on that days.
