Vidhan Sabha speaker Welcomed the deccision to cancel ‘Mattewara Industrial Park Yojana’ by the Chief Minister

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr. Kultar Singh Sandhwan, has welcomed the decision of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann to cancel ‘Mattewara Industrial Park Yojana’.

In a statement issued here today, he said that the Chief Minister has taken this decision in view of the sentiments of environmentalists and the people of Punjab. Mr. Sandhwan said that this would prevent any possible damage to the environment and the water of Sutlej River. He said that by rejecting the ‘Mattewara Industrial Park Scheme’ launched by the previous government, Mr. Bhagwant Mann has shown his responsibility towards the prosperity of the state and for a better future of coming generations.

Mr. Sandhwan said that it was a pro-people decision and he warmly welcomes the decision of the Chief Minister.
