Vijay Inder Singla hands over appointment letters to 78 newly recruited employees of PWD and Education Department

School Education and Public Works Minister Punjab Mr. Vijay Inder Singla today handed over appointment letters to 78 newly-appointed employees of education department and PWD on various posts here at Punjab Bhawan. On this occasion, Mr Singla gave appointment letters to directly appointed 18 clerks apart from 3 clerks and 9 class IV employees who were recruited on compassionate grounds in PWD. As many as 48 employees of the education department were also given appointment letters on compassionate grounds, out of which 3 were teachers of various subjects, 10 clerks, 9 SLAs and 26 class IV employees.

The cabinet minister informed that both the departments speedily processed the applications of family members of the deceased employees and the cases were cleared by the Punjab Government within months after receiving applications from the families. He added that the appointment letters in remaining cases of compassionate ground would be given soon.

Addressing the newly recruited employees, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla urged them to discharge their responsibilities diligently and honestly. He said that their first responsibility was to provide monetary support to their families which has been addressed by the state government and it would be their turn to work efficiently towards the well being of the concerned department.

On this occasion, Secretary PWD Vikas Partap, Secretary School Education Mr. Krishan Kumar, Chief Engineer PWD Arun Kumar were also present.
