Chandigarh, July 21: Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has finalised a blueprint to develop Virasat-e-Khalsa as a “strategic tourist spot”, besides upgrading basic amenities and infrastructure at Anandpur Sahib — the birthplace of Khalsa.

Presiding over a meeting of the Anandpur Sahib Foundation, the minister said since Virasat-e-Khalsa was attracting heavy tourist footfall from across the globe, it was time to develop tented accommodation, budget hotels, food courts and souvenir shops in its vicinity.
