WSS hands over appointment letters to 28 candidates on compassionate grounds

On the behalf of Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Razia Sultana, Principal Secretary Jaspreet Talwar today handed over appointment letter to 28 candidates on compassionate grounds at SAS Nagar. Besides this, 177 BRC, 20 CDS & 16 IEC were also given contractual appointments.

In a message, Razia Sultana said that Punjab Government, under the able guidance of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, is committed for the overall development of the state and interest of all the sections of the society are being safeguarded by their government. While congratulating newly-appointed employees, Ms. Razia Sultana said that the government has fulfilled its responsibility by providing jobs to them and now it would be their turn to deliver their duties with utmost dedication and honesty. She added that responsibility on the shoulders of a particular person increases many folds after joining the government job.

A spokesperson further informed that 177 BRC (Block Resource Coordinator), 20 CDS (Community Development Specialist) & 16 IEC (Information Education and Communication) were also given contractual appointments. These new appointees shall contribute towards taking up awareness generation, development & communication activities, social and IEC related work among Gram Panchyats and Gram Panchyat Water Supply & Sanitation Committees members and the village community relating to water supply and sanitation in the villages assigned.
