Chandigarh, May 11: The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 1,92,306 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 27th day of procurement.
Disclosing this today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 1,92,306 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 190888 MT of wheat 1418 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 38601 metric tonnes, MARKFED 46966 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 44062 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation had procured 26124 MT wheat.
Central government agency FCI has procured 22426 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain
Procured 12709 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 117,18,048 MT.
