New Delhi, February 9: Shiromani Akali Dal MPs, led by Union Minister for Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal, on Friday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh over alleged “confession” by Congress leader Tytler about “killing” Sikhs during the 1984 riots.

The MPs sought Tytler’s arrest in view of the new evidence against him in the case.

SAD MP Naresh Gujral, who was part of the delegation, said Singh was urged to take action against the leader (Tytler).

Gujral said Singh assured that the CDs relating to Tytler’s alleged “confession” would be sent to SIT investigating the case. The Home Ministry would also speak to the Delhi Police Commissioner, he said.

The meeting, which lasted for 20 minutes, took place in Parliament.
