2-kg heroin, Pak SIM card seized near border outpost

Fazilka, February 9: Security forces on Thursday seized 2-kg heroin, worth about Rs 10 crore in the international market, from across the barbed wire near the border outpost of Dona Raja Dina Nath.

Sources stated that on a tip-off, the BSF and the Punjab Police, in a joint operation, found four packets of heroin buried in the earth.

A Pakistani SIM card was also seized.

Security forces also nabbed a suspect, Hans Singh of Gajniwala village.

The BSF and the police had seized 7-kg heroin from this area on February 4.
