Moga, July 4: The police have arrested four women for peddling drugs in the past two days. ASI Prem Singh said Parminder Kaur, alias Bholi, a resident of Daulewala Mayar village, was held with 600 intoxicant tablets near Gehliwala village, where she had gone to sell the contraband.
In another case, a police party stopped a motorcycle near Dholewala Chowk in Dharamkot for checking. During a search, 4 gm of heroin and 870 intoxicant tablets were recovered from Baljit Kaur, a resident of Indgarh village. She was with her husband Rashpal Singh. Both were taken into custody.
At the Rauke Kalan link road, Amandeep Kaur of Badhni Kalan was arrested with 75 gm of drug powder. SHO, Badhni Kalan, Surjit Singh said the woman was on her way to deliver the consignment to drug addicts.
On Sunday, the police arrested another drug peddler, identified as Manjit Kaur, a resident of Ludhiana, with 5 gm of heroin from the Kishanpura-Baddowal link road. Cases have been registered.
