Chandigarh, April 28:
The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 4,44,947 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 19th day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 444947 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 4,44,616 MT of wheat 331 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 83319 metric tonnes, MARKFED 105555 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 121705 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 57029 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 53999 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 23009 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 10042306 MT.
