Ahmedabad, November 4
AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced Isudan Gadhvi as the CM face of his party for the forthcoming Gujarat Assembly elections.
Those in the race for the post were AAP’s state unit president Gopal Italia, national general secretary Isudan Gadhvi and general secretary Manoj Soratihya, party sources said.
Kejriwal held a press conference in Ahmedabad to announce the name.
Kejriwal said more than 73 per cent of people had voted for Gadhvi, a former TV journalist who joined the AAP in 2021.
The former TV personality belongs to a well-to-do farmers’ family in Saurashtra.
An OBC, Gadhvi is also the joint general secretary of the AAP.
