Chandigarh, May 18: Former head of its NRI wing Jagtar Singh Sanghera was on Thursday appointed state secretary of the Punjab AAP unit, along with six other office bearers appointed by the party leadership as part of the organisation building exercise.
AAP state co-president Balbir Singh said that the appointments are done after the consultations with the senior leaders of the party and it has been done on the basis of their performance over the past few years.
A former deputy general manager of Punjab Mandi Board, Sanghera has been associated with the party from the very beginning.
Those who have been appointed general secretaries of the state are Sanjiv Sharma, J P Singh, Dinesh Chadha, Harbhajan Singh, Kanwaljit Singh, Amarpal Singh, Sarbjot Singh Dhanjal and Sukhjinder Singh.
