Lakwinder Wadali, the Punjabi music sensation who hails from a family of musicians never wanted to be a musician. Many other professions attracted Lakhwinder during his growing up days, but it was music that he was destined to make.

“I always wanted to be a cricketer. Honestly, in my initial days, I was not interested in singing. But my father (Puranchand Wadali) thought that our generation would end since my siblings aren’t into singing and they don’t even listen to much music. He explained the importance of the art form and asked me to indulge myself in music. He actually knew I could sing well and saw that talent in me,” shared Teri Yaad singer.

Currently, the singer is all busy with his releases, lately, he’s released Balma, composed by his dad, “This is a ‘thumri’ song and it seems to be well appreciated by the audience. I am glad to have got this opportunity. This song is a big thing for me as it’s composed by my dad and to sing this track was quite a challenge for me. But I did it my way and have given the best to it.”

The singer revealed that he is working on another track with his father Puranchand Wadali which would release in coming months.
