Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Foundation honours special principal secretary to CM

Baba Banda Singh Bahadur International Foundation on Wednesday honoured the Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Secretary, Information & Public Relations Gurkirat Kirpal Singh for Punjab Government’s stupendous efforts to promote the glorious historical legacy of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur ji.

Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for organizing series of functions across the state to commemorate the 350th birth anniversary of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, the President of the Foundation and Chairman of Punjab State Industries Development Corporation Krishan Kumar Bawa said that such initiatives would go a long way in apprising our younger generations to connect them with our rich historical past. He also thanked the Chief Minister for his government’s decision to install the life-sized statue of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur at Sirhind to pay glowing tributes to the legendary Sikh warrior in a befitting manner.

Meanwhile, the Secretary IPR appreciated the efforts of the foundation for its pro-active role and immense contribution in propagating the rich legacy of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur ji across the globe.

On the occasion, Bawa presented a portrait of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur besides a book on the life and ideology of the great Sikh General.

Bawa was accompanied by the President of Youth Wing of Foundation Vikram Singh Ghuman and senior leader Tehal Singh Sandhu.
