Jalandhar April 30 ( ) The Mahila Kisan Union president Biba Rajwinder Kaur Raju has demanded that BJP MP and Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Singh, who has a criminal background, should be immediately arrested in two cases registered against him and the central government should remove him from all constitutional posts.

This was stated by woman farmer leader, who has arrived at Jantar Mantar New Delhi to support of the ongoing struggle of Indian women wrestlers against the president of WFI for their sexual harassment and intimidation.

Biba Raju reminded that the daughters, who had made the country proud by winning medals many times, had to sit on the streets repeatedly to get due justice, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who preached the slogan of ‘Beti Bachao’, failed to listen to ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of wrestler daughters in the capital.

The farmer leader alleged that despite the union government’s assurance of full justice in this regard in January, the Rajya Sabha member of BJP, President of Indian Olympic Association Mrs P.T. Usha and Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur continued to protect the said ‘Baahubali’ of their saffron party thereby completely failed to provide due justice to the Olympian wrestlers.

Extending her full support to the agitation, Biba Raju said “This fight is for the prestige of daughters of the country. These girls have upheld the name, fame of India and the pride of the tricolor across the globe by winning Olympic medals, while the BJP led central dispensation is bent upon saving their leader despite the fact that a dozen and a half criminal cases had already been registered against this aged ‘Baahubali’ who sexually abused the teenage international girls”.

The farmer leader added that saffron party’s Haryana minister Sandeep Singh was also implicated recently in the case of alleged sexual exploitation of female athlete. “The central and state governments should ensure a safe and secure environment for girls in sports and playgrounds”, adding, she demanded to provide security to all the wrestlers sitting on the protest at Jantar Mantar.
