New Delhi, December 11

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh on Monday, major ‘shivlayas’ and ‘ashrams’ will live stream the programme across the country. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple has been decked up before the inauguration of the Corridor will set a direct link between the temple and the Ganga river, as per ground reports.

Apart from LED screens at 51,000 spots across the country, “grand programmes and events” will be held at all ‘Jyotirlings’ as part of the mega cultural outreach —“Divya Kashi, Bhavya Kashi” (divine Kashi, grand Kashi)—in the State that goes to polls early 2022.

While inauguration of development projects like airports, expressways and canal projects (like the one in Balrampur on Saturday) by the Prime Minister are making headline, the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor form an important part of the BJP’s election strategy revolving around the ‘Hindutva’ pitch.

In fact, beginning December 13 till January 14, 2022, (Makar Sankranti), the saffron party will be holding several programmes/events across the country to celebrate what its leaders call “realisation of dreams and ambitions of crores of Indians”.
