CHANDIGARH, February 1:
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Punjab Dr S Karuna Raju has offered all kinds of possible help to the ETT Teacher-cum-Booth Level Officer (BLO) Gurwinder Singh, who met with an accident in Gurdaspur on Monday.
As per the information, BLO Gurwinder deputed at Booth number 222 in Bhikhowali village in Gurdaspur district was going home at around 4.15pm on Monday, when he fell from his motorcycle and sustained head injuries and fracture in his arm. Presently, BLO Gurwinder is undergoing treatment at Amandeep Hospital Amritsar.
“As soon as I got to know about the accident of our officer from DC Gurdaspur, I immediately directed DC Amritsar to ensure medical help to the injured BLO and asked him to update me regularly,” he said.
CEO Dr Raju also instructed DC Gurdaspur Mohammad Ishfaq to ensure all medical support and bear all the expenses on the treatment of the BLO from Red Cross funds.
The CEO also personally talked with the father of the injured BLO to know about the Gurwinder’s health condition and assured him all kinds of possible help from the administration.
Pertinently, DC Amritsar Gurpreet Singh Khaira personally visited the Hospital to know the wellbeing of Gurwinder.
Gurwinder’s father Sadhu Singh, while talking over the phone, shown satisfaction over the treatment being provided to his son and said that Gurwinder is recovering. He also thanked the CEO and DCs for all the help and cooperation.
