Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Punjab Circle has been adjudged for the second prize for Telephone Exchange building Leela Bhawan under the category of commercial buildings, sub category of offices-Government & Private buildings in the state level Energy conservation award competition 2020 for taking extra efforts for efficient utilization, Management and conservation of energy during the last two years 2018-19 & 2019-20.
During a meeting today in BSNL CGMT office Chandigarh, on behalf of Punjab Telecom Circle, the Chief General Manager Sh. Sandeep Diwan dedicated the state level Energy conservation award certificate along with a cheque of Rs, 30,000/- as award money received from Punjab Energy Development authority to Sh. Sushil Kumar Mishra the Director (CM), BSNL Corporate office New Delhi.

Sandeep Diwan the CGMT Punjab Circle and to Sh. Awanish Kumar Shukla Sr. Chief Engineer (E) BSNL Punjab Circle for the outstanding efforts in the field of energy conservation activities.
Sh. Awanish kumar Shukla during the presentation briefed about the various no cost measures such as contract demand rationalization, thorough scrutinizing of electricity bills, implementation of OORJA APP in BSNL and use of non conventional energy resources viz. solar power system etc. in BSNL which resulted in appreciable saving in electricity and fuel expenditure of BSNL Punjab Circle. Sh. Sushil Kumar Mishra Direcor(CM) appreciated the efforts made by the Electrical wing in coordination with all BA’s of Punjab Circle in field of energy conservation.
Sh. J.S. Sahota CGMT Himachal Pardesh Circle and Sh. Sudeep Kumar CGMT, Haryana Circle were also present in the meeting.
