Chandigarh, March 24: To boost dairy development in the cooperative sector, the Punjab government in budget 2018-19 has proposed a mega dairy project having capacity of 10 lakh litres milk per day at Bassi Pathana.
Finance Minister Manpreet Badal proposed in his budget speech that the project by Milkfed (Verka) would be implemented in three phases at cost of Rs 65 crore.
The project is aimed at ensuring better prices for the dairy farmers.
