Capt to take up visa-free visit to Kartarpur issue with MEA

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will take up the issue of visa-free visit to Kartarpur with the External Affairs Minister. A special session of the state assembly would be convened to commemorate the 550th Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Cabinet approves Rs 31 lakh in special benefits to family of Neha Shoree

The Punjab Council of Ministers on Tuesday gave ex-post facto approval to disbursement of financial benefits to the tune of nearly Rs. 31 lakh to the legal heirs of late Neha Shoree, Zonal Licensing Drug Authority, Mohali, who was shot dead on duty on March 29 this year.

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday expressed the hope that the SYL issue would be resolved amicably through talks between Punjab and Haryana. He said teams of the two states, led by their respective Chief Secretaries, were already engaged in dialogue and three-four rounds of talks had already been held.

CM inaugurates nation’s 4th DITAC to tackle growing cyber terror threat
