Chandigarh, December 22:
In order to expand its reach and streamline its operations, Asia’s largest cooperative institute Markfed today became witness to appointment of 227 regular officials in various categories. The Chairman Markfed Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon handed over the appointment letters to the newly appointed employees at Markfed Head office here today.
While congratulating the newly appointed officials on the occasion, Chairman Kikki Dhillon said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and the directions of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, the cooperative institutes are being spruced up to strengthen the cooperative movement.
Divulging more, the Chairman said that this step would also give impetus to the State Government’s flagship scheme Ghar Ghar Rozghar Mission to provide employment to the youth. He further said that with the new recruitments, the functioning of Punjab Markfed would be further accelerated as these posts are related to marketing and accounts.
The MD Markfed Varun Roojam said that 227 newly recruited officials include 2 Deputy Chief Accounts Officers, 9 Senior Accounts Officers, 8 Assistant Accounts Officers, 62 Assistant Accountants, 18 Assistant Sales Officers, 67 Assistant Field Officers and 61 Salesmen. They are being deployed at the head office and various offices located in the field. “The recruitment has been done in a transparent manner on the basis of pure merit”, said the MD.
Prominent among others who were present at the occasion included Vice Chairman Jasdeep Singh Randhawa, Directors of Board of Director Harinder Singh Randhawa, Gian Singh, Ranjit Singh, Gurmej Singh, Tahil Singh Sandhu, Paramjit Singh, Karnail Singh, Tarlok Singh, Davinder Singh, Tarsem Singh Ghuman and Harinder Singh, Markfed’s AMD Rahul Gupta, Chief Manager Personnel Damandeep Kaur and Chief Accounts Officer Pankaj Kansal.
