Channi dedicates model Sub-Tehsil to people at Beas

BEAS, NOVEMBER 20: Dedicating state-of-the-art building of newly constructed sub-tehsil complex here, Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that role of religious organisations in state’s holistic development had always been remained commendable.

Expressing gratitude to Radha Soami Satsang Beas for creating such a modern infrastructure, CM Channi said that now the more than 70,000 residents of nearly 30 villages would be directly benefitted from this facility at Beas. He said that this complex would ensure the delivery of administrative works and requisite documents including registration of land , getting fard etc besides having Suwidha Kendra and Fard Kendra. He said that maximum citizen services related to different departments would be provided under one roof thus ensuring timely and prompt issuance of required documents to people.

Pertinently, Radhasoami Satsang Beas has donated a newly built Sub Tehsil Office to the Government of Punjab, which can be the one of the modern buildings in the state with a spacious area having five acres of total land. The sub-tehsil complex has a office building with built up area of 15,559 sq ft, Open Shed of 10492 sq ft, parking in 22519 sq ft area besides 128156 sq ft of green area. The fully furnished complex has a total 34 rooms including office and court rooms of sub Tehsildar, rooms for the entire staff and a conference room while special provision has also been made for the camp office of Deputy Commissioner Amritsar. The design, layout and architecture of the building can utilise as model for the similar buildings to be built in future.

Later, answering a query of media persons, CM Channi said thanked the Radha Soami Satsang Beas for constructing sub-tehsil at a cost of Rs. 5 crore. Referring to a query, Channi said that the panel of appointment of DGP had already been sent and the appointment would be made accordingly. On the issue of drugs, Punjab Government was making all out efforts to wipe out this menace, said the CM adding that law will take its own course.

Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included MLAs Santokh Singh Bhalaipur, Tarsem Singh DC and Balwinder Singh Laddi, Chairman PUNGRAIN Sukhjinder Raj Singh, Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Khaira and SSP Rakesh Kaushal.
