Class XII boy fails exam, hangs self

Tarn Taran, April 27:Jagjit Singh (17), a student of Class XII, committed suicide at Sarhali village, 22 km from here, after he failed in the PSEB Clas XII examinations.

Jagjit, who went under depression after the results were declared on Monday, hanged himself from the fan in the house when he was alone on Tuesday. He was a student of Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa Senior Secondary School.

School principal Harpreet Kaur said Jagjit Singh was a sincere and obedient student. The school’s pass percentage too was 35 per cent this year. Jagjit has an elder sister, who is doing B Com from a local college. Amarjit Singh, father of Jagjit, is paralysed and unable to work.
