Chandigarh, January 9: Bringing citizen-centric services to the fingertips of the people, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday launched Punjab mSewa – a Unified Mobile Application that offers access to various services on Smart Phones.

The App has been developed with the vision to provide citizens with seamless and hassle-free access to all government services through a single Mobile App, without the need for multiple Mobile Apps of different departments, said the Chief Minister, unveiling the unique app.

With this, citizens can even access their documents over Digilocker via mSewa App directly, said Captain Amarinder, promising continued efforts by his government to ensure more citizen-friendly digital initiatives in the future.

The Mobile Application is available for citizens on their Android and iOS Smartphones, and can be downloaded from their respective App store by searching mSewa Punjab.

Giving further details, Additional Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan disclosed that Services from various Departments like School Education, Health and Family Welfare, Revenue, Rural Development and Panchayats, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Punjab State Agricultural and Marketing Board, Punjab Police and Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority are available on this single Mobile App.

The mobile application platform is based on the Enterprise Architecture that the state government is following in its Digital journey, said Mahajan.

Vini further shared that citizens will be able to make online payments for the services they wish to apply, using multiple payment options. Citizens can also track the status of services applied via mSewa or Sewa Kendras.

The App also comes with facility for citizen to find nearby public institutions, check status of development works in their villages/towns and receive government messages, she added.
