CM Mann kicks off work for construction of Jalandhar-Adampur-Hoshiarpur road

In a major relief to people, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday kicked off the work for construction of Jalandhar- Adampur- Hoshiarpur road at a cost of Rs 13.74 crore, that had been hanging in fire since long.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that it was a ‘Red Letter’ day for the people of the district as this project once completed will facilitate the people in a big way. He said that completing this project was the top priority of the state government as it will immensely benefit the people commuting from the Jalandhar city towards Hoshiarpur besides the holy shrine of Mata Chintapurni and others. Bhagwant Mann said that once completed the project will also give much needed impetus to trade and industry in this area.

The Chief Minister categorically said that the starting of work on the road reflects the seriousness of the state government to fulfill the promises made with people. He said that even though the new MP from Jalandhar Sushil Kumar Rinku is yet to be sworn in, the work on roads has started. Bhagwant Mann said that the construction of the road will be completed by September adding that the government has fulfilled his promise to facilitate the people.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister asked the officers to ensure the best quality of work for the construction of this road. He said that a high standard of quality must be adhered to while completing the work on construction of road and no stone shall be left unturned for accomplishing the work within the stipulated time period. Bhagwant Mann said that he will personally review the progress of this project in the coming time to ensure that work is completed on time.
