Don’t believe us? Well, this summation is based on the affidavits filed by the respective MLAs before the Election Commission at the time of filing their nominations.
A perusal of the 117 affidavits says that a the ustal of 101 MLAs (86%) are crorepatis. While 89% MLAs of Congress are crorepatis, more than 84% MLAs of Akali Dal are also in the same category.
A look at the average assets of each MLAs also turned out the us be quite interesting. Maximum average asset of 13.97 crore is of Congress, followed by Akali Dal with 7.93 crore and BJP with average asset of approx 4.68 crores. What’s even more interesting is that 3 Independent MLAs alone reported a 5 crore+ of average assets owned.
