CS, DGP and ACS/CM fine-tune arrangements for swearing in ceremony of new CM on March 16

Chief Secretary Punjab Mr Anirudh Tiwari, Director General of Police Mr VK Bhawra and Additional Chief Secretary to CM Mr A Venu Prasad today fine tuned arrangements for swearing in ceremony of the new Chief Minister slated to take place on March 16 here at Shaheed-e-Aazam Bhagat Singh memorial and museum.

Chairing a meeting here today they said that befitting arrangements are to be made for this prestigious event in which lakhs of people are expected to take part. They said that apart from smooth movement of the traffic major thrust shall be laid on ensuring that people coming to the function do not face any problem. Mr Tiwari, Mr Venu Prasad and Mr Bhawra also said that every officer must impart their duty in a highly professional and committed manner.

They said that senior officers of the state government have been assigned zone wise duties for the smooth conduct of event. They said that it is a mega event in which key dignitaries including the Chief Minister of several states are expected to take part. Mr Tiwari, Mr Venu Prasad and Mr Bhawra said that a foolproof mechanism has already been put in place adding that now the thrust shall be made on smooth and hassle free execution of the event.

They said that since it is a mega event with historic significance and the entire nation will be looking towards the state, so every officer is duty bound to make it a huge success. They said that every minute arrangement must be made in a befitting manner so that people do not face any sort of inconvenience. Reviewing the arrangements for parking of vehicles, food and water for the public, stage, power supply, water supply, sanitation, health, law & order, security and others, Mr Tiwari, Mr Venu Prasad and Mr Bhawra asked all the officers to leave no stone unturned for making this mega event a huge success.

Earlier, Mr Tiwari, Mr Venu Prasad and Mr Bhawra paid tributes at the samadhi of Shaheed-e-Aazam Bhagat Singh and his father Late S.Kishan Singh.

On the occasion Principal Secretary Tourism Mr Hussan Lal, Principal Secretary PWD Mr Vikas Pratap, Principal Secretary Sanitation Ms Jaspreet Talwar, Principal Secretary Health Mr Raj Kamal Chaudhary, Secretary information and Public Relations Mr KK Yadav, ADGP Mr MF Farooqi, Director Information and Public Relations Mr Sumit Jaranghal, Commissioner Rupnagar Division Mr Manvesh Sidhu, Commissioner of Police Ludhiana Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Deputy Commissioner Mr Vishesh Sarangal, SSP Ms Kanwardeep Kaur and others were also present..
