CS emphasizes synchronized efforts of all departments for Progressive Punjab Investor Summit-2023

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led state government is currently executing a comprehensive Investment Promotion Outreach Programme, which includes outreach events and conferences in key cities of India and across the globe.

In continuation of this initiative, a meeting under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua was held today in Chandigarh, wherein Principal Secretary Investment Promotion Dilip Kumar and CEO Invest Punjab KK Yadav made a detailed presentation on various contours of upcoming 5th edition of Progressive Punjab Investment Summit and deliberated on the composition of various organizing committees of Government to fast-track the preparations of Summit (PPIS) to be held on the 23rd and the 24th of February 2023. The meeting was attended by the Administrative Secretaries and HoDs of different Departments.

It is pertinent to mention that while chairing a meeting organized by Invest Punjab in September 2022, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had envisaged an Investment Summit for the State of Punjab which will act as a major platform to ensure holistic industrial development of the state and propel it into the orbit of higher-growth trajectory. The Chief Minister is keen on promoting Punjab as the most-preferred investment destination in India and across the globe.

The meeting saw extensive discussions and review of the Agenda, Theme, Program Structure, Timeline of Activities, Proposed Exhibitions & Sessions and the overall preparations for the event. The meeting also witnessed the finalization of the composition of the preparatory committees related to the organization of the PPIS 2023 which will also serve as a multi-stake holder engagement platform and witness discussions on sectors which are pivotal for the growth of Punjab’s economy.

Besides attracting Investments from foreign and local companies, one of the key objectives of the summit is to bring together diverse groups of notable business entrepreneurs, investors, thought leaders, to prepare the road-map of Punjab’s growth. The Summit agenda also includes showcasing strengths of Punjab’s industry through exhibitions and walk-through. Sectoral and Country sessions will be the key highlights of the event.

The Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua expressed wide appreciation for Department of Investment Promotion and Invest Punjab’s efforts, and desired full support and cooperation of all State Departments to make this mega event a grand success. The meeting was concluded by the Chief Secretary reiterating the Government’s commitment of ushering Punjab into a new era of prosperity and industrial development.
