NEW DELHI:
Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal called for a massive celebration on the eve of the 75th Independence Day, today. He appealed to every Indian to sing the national anthem with a Tiranga in their hand at 5PM on August 14, as part of the celebration. Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “Marking the 75th Independence Day, we will all hoist the Tiranga together and sing the national anthem with the national flag in our hand. Delhi Government will distribute 25 lac Tirangas across the state; people to be given national flags in every gully-mohalla and chowk of Delhi. Every student will be given a Tiranga in government schools so they can hoist them at home and sing the national anthem with the flag in their hands. I will also sing the national anthem with a Tiranga in my hand on 14th August, the eve of independence day; there will be around 100 different celebrations across Delhi. When we sing the national anthem with the Tiranga in our hands, we all must pledge to make India the greatest and the strongest nation in the world. We have to realise and remember that India can’t become the number one nation of the world until every child gets excellent education, every citizen gets world-class healthcare, every household gets power & water supply, every youth gets employment and women get a safe atmosphere to live in. On the 75th Independence Day, we, 130 crore Indians, must come together and pledge to make India the number one country of the world.”
Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “India is entering the celebrations of the 75th independence day with full jubilation. We can all the excitement and joy amongst the citizens over this. Everyone is trying to celebrate it in their own way, be it the state governments, the central government, our institutions or our public, everyone is trying their best. Several initiatives like Har Ghar Tiranga and Har Haath Tiranga are being organised to pump more joy into our celebrations. Today, I want to appeal to the people of the country to celebrate the eve of Independence Day with the same zeal too. Let us all get together on August 14 at 5PM and sing the national anthem while holding a Tiranga in our hands and deshbhakti in our hearts.”
He added, “We have planned a mega Tiranga distribution drive in Delhi to fulfil this purpose. Whoever can buy the national flag themselves can do so, children can paint their flags, while the Delhi Government will distribute 25 lac Tiranga all over Delhi. Every student of our government schools will be given a Tiranga, so hoist at home. We aim to distribute Tirangas in every gully and mohalla of Delhi. We want the Tiranga to fly high on every chowk of Delhi. I request everyone to take part in this initiative and then put up the Tiranga on their house with pride to fill the whole state with the feeling of deshbhakti.”
He continued, “When we sing the national anthem with the Tiranga in our hands, we have to take a pledge to make India the strongest and greatest nation of the world. We have to make India the number one country of the world. We have to realise that without excellent education for every child, our country can not become a world leader. We have to remember that without excellent healthcare in every town and village, India can’t become the number one nation of the world. We have to provide road connectivity to every village, power & water supply to every household. We have to provide a dignified employment opportunity to every unemployed youth. We have to make this society safe for women to thrive in. Until and unless we don’t accomplish this, we won’t be able to vouch for a stronger nation.”
The CM concluded, “We, 130 crore Indians, must pledge to make India the number one nation of the world. On the eve of Independence Day, I too, will sing the national anthem with a Tiranga in my hand. There will be about 100 different programs organised in Delhi where 130 crore Indians will pledge together to make India the number one country of the world.”
