Chandigarh, December 27
Aam Aadmi Party got a major boost on Monday, when AAP’s Punjab President and Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann and Punjab’s affairs co-in-charge Raghav Chadha inducted and welcomed Kulwant Singh into the party. Kulwant Singh is Mohali’s former mayor and social activist, who joined AAP with his hundreds of associates and supporters. Mann said that Kulwant Singh’s familiarity with Mohali’s issues and voters will help AAP a great deal.

Addressing the reporters here Bhagwant Mann said, “Chandigarh proved that people are the real power in democracy. And the people of Punjab have already decided to depart from traditional parties to elect an honest government that prefers development.” Mann thanked the voters of Chandigarh for choosing AAP that was contesting Chandigarh MC Elections for the first time. He added that Aam Aadmi Party will make Chandigarh City Beautiful again. Bhagwant Mann congratulated all the newly elected MC candidates, including Damanpreet Singh who’d defeated BJP’s current former mayor to win his seat.

Raghav Chadha MLA and co-in-charge Punjab affairs, congratulated Jarnail Singh, MLA and In-charge Punjab affairs, for AAP’s success in Chandigarh Municipal elections. He thanked AAP leaders, workers and volunteers in Chandigarh for working tirelessly to insure AAP’s win here. He said, “Chandigarh’s victory is a trailer. Punjab elections will be full picture and people of Punjab will choose Kejriwal’s model of honest governance too, just like people of Chandigarh gave a chance to Kejriwal.” He also thanked the people of Chnadigarh for showering so much love and trust, because AAP was contesting its first election in the Union Territory and it emerged as the best party. He said that great margin of AAP leaders’ victories shows that it was a one-sided election where people only choose clean and honest governance.

New member of AAP’s caravan Kulwant Singh thanked the party leadership for giving him an opportunity to serve people through Aam Aadmi Party. He said, “I’m impressed by Kejriwal’s model of development in Delhi. Their works in the field of education, health and basic amenities is commendable. I’m looking forward to serving people with Aam Aadmi Party.”
