Chandigarh, February 24: In recognition of ‘mSeva’ initiative of Punjab Municipal Infrastructure Development Company (PMIDC), the Government of India has conferred Gold award to the Punjab government under the Award Scheme of National Awards for e-Governance 2020-21 in the Category-I – Excellence in Government Process Re-engineering for Digital Transformation.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson said that Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, GoI V. Srinivas in a communiqué to the former CEO PMIDC and currently Secretary School Education and Sports & Youth Services Ajoy Sharma complimented him for the valuable contribution with commitment and dedicated efforts towards achieving the best performance in the aforesaid category.
Notably, the Government of India has instituted the ‘National Awards for e-Governance’ which is presented every year to recognize and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives and encourage innovations in successful e-Governance solutions. The Scheme rewards the extraordinary and innovative work done by officers of the Central and State/UT Governments, District Administration & Local Bodies, Public Sector Undertakings, Academic and Research Institutions.
