Government committed to regularise all contractual, temporary staff: Neel Garg

Date:

Chandigarh, July 27: The Aam Aadmi Party reiterated its commitment to regularise services of 12,710 temporary teachers.

Medium industry Chairman and Party spokesperson Neel Garg said the AAP government has fulfilled most of its big election promises. Today, 90% of the households in Punjab are getting free electricity; more than 500 mohalla clinics are functioning in Punjab; schools of eminence are being built, he said.

The Punjab government has filled about 30,000 government jobs and thousands of temporary employees got their services regularised. Now, fulfilling its promise to temporary teachers, the government is going to make 12,710 teachers regular.

Apart from this, the Government has taken another big decision for temporary teachers. Now they will get at least ₹ 15000 per month salary and 5 percent increment every year.

He said that all the legal issues have been taken care of in this regard so that the employees do not face any problem in future. Opinions were taken from eminent lawyers and amendments related to this were also made in the cabinet meeting so that the path to regularise the temporary teachers could be cleared.

Criticizing the previous governments, Neel Garg said the former Chief Ministers Captain Amarinder Singh and Charanjit Singh Channi only made tall promises to temporary employees but did not take any concrete steps for them. They only fooled these workers. Whereas, since the formation of the government, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is sincere about the welfare of all the employees and is constantly taking decisions in their favour.
