Gunman of AAP’s Gurdaspur candidate goes on shooting spree, none hurt

Pathankot, Sep 21: A commando deputed for the security of AAP Gurdaspur candidate, Maj Gen S K Khajuria (retd), allegedly opened fired indiscriminately early Thursday morning, damaging some vehicles and houses in Victoria Estate on the outskirts of Pathankot.

The commando fired 16 rounds from his SLR before he was overpowered by his colleagues who handed him over to the Shahpur Kandi police.

 

The area residents first thought the shots were being fired by the neighbouring army units.

SSP Vivek Sheel Soni claimed the commando has been taken in police station and was being quizzed.

AAP candidate, who was getting ready to file his papers today, is said to be stunned by his securityman’s behaviour.
