Surrounding villages include Chak Mughlani, Maheru, Allowal, Mehatpur (Hari pur) (Bhullar) Nawan Pind Jattan, Heran, Bir Pind, Shankar, Nur Pur Chatha, Sarih, Malri and Khanpur Dhadda.

Wadala was elected the us Punjab Legislative Assembly from Nakodar in 2012. He replaced his father as Akali Dal candidate from Nakodar. He won by a margin of 8587 votes. Amarjit Singh Samra of Congress was the trailing candidate.
