Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu honoured with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Award for fighting Corona

Punjab Health Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu, on Friday, was conferred with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Award for leading the state health institutions to fight Corona pandemic by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur International Foundation’s President and Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC) Chairman Mr. Krishan Kumar Bawa.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sidhu said that all these efforts were possible only because of the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh himself came forward and fought for the people of Punjab besides encouraging the affected people continuously. “I also express gratitude towards Punjabis for their full support during trying times,” he added.

Speaking with the media persons, Mr. Bawa said that Balbir Singh Sidhu deserves this award as he was leading the state in fighting Corona. He said that the serving spirit of the entire health department was also commendable. On this occasion, Mr. Harkesh Chand Sharma Machhli Kalan, Chairman, Kharar Market Committee and Political Secretary to the Health Minister and Amandeep Bawa were also present.
