Chandigarh, August 22

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab senior leader and MLA Prof Baljinder Kaur termed the move of Punjab BJP leaders to join the Akali Dal Badal as a deep conspiracy, stating that the BJP was now trying to reach out to the people under the guise of the Badals; which people have to be aware of.

In a statement issued from the party headquarters here on Sunday, Prof Baljinder Kaur said the SAD-BJP alliance was not only intact, but had taken a more dangerous and dirty form. “This form of the BJP in the guise of the Akalis will prove fatal to ‘Punjabi and Punjabiyat’, so the people of the state should not face these opportunists and masquerades,” she added.

Prof Baljinder Kaur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had taken control of the Badal family and party, which was suffering from various weaknesses including the ED cases. “As a result, the Badal family is forced to dance to Modi’s tunes. This is the reason why Parkash Singh Badal, who has been the Chief Minister five times and calls himself the Messiah of the farmers, has not uttered a single word against the BJP and Narendra Modi till date,” asserted Prof Baljinder Kaur. She said while the leaders from all over the world have protested against the dictatorship with which the agriculture laws have been imposed on ‘annadatas’, the senior Badal after the video released in favor of the agriculture laws; did not uttered a single word again.

Accusing Modi-Shah conspiracy behind the SAD-BJP alliance, the AAP leader questioned why the BJP leaders, which were claiming to quit the BJP in protest of the agrarian laws; had chosen the Akali Dal Badal, while the ordinance on anti-agriculture laws was signed by Harsimrat Kaur Badal as the Cabinet Minister. She said they continued to praise the agriculture laws in the language of the BJP leaders for months until the people put up no-entry boards in villages and towns against the Badals and the BJP leaders. “In the end, under the pressure of the people, the Badals claimed to leave the BJP but maintained the internal political alliance, which has now come to light and the BJP is waiting under the guise of the Badals to get closer to the people of Punjab,” she added.

Prof Baljinder Kaur said the people of Punjab should keep a close eye on every maneuver of the BJP and the Akali Badal Dal leaders, so that these opportunists being in disguise; do not stab them in the back.
