Jalandhar rejected cheap politics of oppositions, chose AAP’s politics of work: Cheema

Senior AAP leader and Finance Minister of Punjab Government Harpal Singh Cheema expressed happiness over the historic victory of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku in the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election and thanked the people of Jalandhar for this victory.

Addressing the media in Jalandhar after the results were announced on Saturday, Harpal Singh Cheema said that by electing Sushil Rinku the people of Jalandhar have approved the works of the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in the last one year. People voted on the basis of Mohalla Clinics, Schools of Eminence, 300 units of free electricity and corruption free governance provided by the AAP government.

Punjab Cabinet Ministers Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Harbhajan Singh ETO, Harjot Bains, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, AAP Punjab General Secretary Harchand Singh Barsat, AAP MLAs Sheetal Angural, Raman Arora, Manvinder Singh Gyaspura, Sherry Kalsi, DCP Balkar Singh, Inderjit Kaur Maan, Jalandhar District President Amritpal Singh, AAP leader and District Planning Board Chairman Mangal Singh and Milkfed Chairman Narinder Singh Shergill were also present.

Slamming the opposition parties, Cheema said that Congress, Akali Dal and BJP leaders did cheap politics during the election campaign, made various false allegations against us and tried to defame us, but the people of Jalandhar rejected their propaganda and chose the Aam Aadmi Party’s politics of work.

He said that we were already confident that the people of Jalandhar would definitely elect AAP candidate Sushil Rinku and send him to the Lok Sabha with a huge margin victory. The entire Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers are grateful to the people of Jalandhar for making AAP candidate win. We, on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party, thank the people of Jalandhar from the bottom of our hearts for making the Aam Aadmi Party re-enter the Lok Sabha.
