Patiala, April 22:
To ensure uninterrupted and hassle free payment of sold wheat directly to the farmers as per newly implemented DBT scheme, Patiala district administration has arranged help desk in all the nine market committee mandis (main yards).
Divulging the details, District Marketing and Enforcement Officer, Ajay Pal Singh said that the move was aiming to help the farmers to get register on procurement portal, so that they could not have to face any difficulty to get the payment into their accounts.
Mr. Ajay Pal Singh further said that foodgrain procurement portal has been set up for direct payment of produce in the accounts of the farmers and the farmers who have not registered yet on this portal, to be registered in the market committees. He said that although the farmers have already been registered on the portal but the farmers who have not registered yet and have not been get payment for the wheat, are being registered on the portal. He said that so far 122 such farmers have been registered.
Giving more information about the process of registration on the foodgrain procurement portal, he said that for this, the farmer has to provide the details of his Aadhaar card, bank account and the name of concerned Arhtiya, after that, first the I-form and then the J-form is generated.
The District Mandi Officer said that apart from the account registration at the Kisan Help Desk, any problem related to payment or any other problem in the mandi is being resolved on the spot. He also appealed to the farmers that if anyone has any problem regarding payment, they can go to their nearest market committee and report it to the farmers’ help desk set up there.
