Sangrur, June 20: Four days after receiving a video message from an unidentified person belonging to Punjab Province of Pakistan seeking his help in locating his mentally challenged son, Sangrur AAP MP Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday succeeded in locating the youth in the Ferozepur jail.
“I got a video recording on WhatsApp in which a Pakistan resident sought my help in finding his son, who had inadvertently strayed into the Indian territory on May 28. On Tuesday I got to know that Naees from Kasur district is lodged in the Ferozepur jail,” Mann said.
“In the recording, the youth’s father said both Punjabs are same despite division by the international border. I checked from the Border Security Force in Amritsar and other stations and got to know that Naees was arrested from near the international border and handed over to the Fazilka police, which registered a case and sent him to the Ferozepur jail,” said Mann.
“As the police have registered a case against him, I will see how can I help him,” he added.
