Massive recruitment drive from August 21 to fill 4161 Posts in Education Department

Fulfilling another poll promise to provide maximum employment opportunities in the state under the able guidance of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan, the Punjab Government has initiated the process to fill 4161 posts of School Education Department.

Disclosing this here today Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that the examination to recruit Social Studies and Punjabi teachers is being conducted at 83 examination centers located in Chandigarh and Mohali on August 21. All arrangements are put in place to conduct the examination in free, fair and transparent manner. Exam for Social Science subject will be conducted at 48 centers in the morning, while the exam for Punjabi subject will be conducted in 35 centers in the afternoon, he added.

Mr. Bains said that 23858 candidates will appear for 633 posts of Social Studies and 15914 candidates for 534 posts of Punjabi teachers. He said that this recruitment process is being conducted against the advertisement to fill 4161 posts. He said that next exam will be held on August 28, 2022 for Mathematics and Hindi subjects, besides on September 4, 2022 for Physical Education & English and September 11, 2022 for Science and Music subjects.

Giving more details about the arrangements being made for examination, the Cabinet Minister said that jammers have been installed at all the examination centers and ban imposed to carry mobile phones and other electronic devices/gadgets in the examination centers. He said that the entire process related to the examination will be videographed and biometric method will also be used. About the reasons for holding the recruitment examination in Chandigarh and Mohali, the Minister said that we have decided to conduct the examination at Chandigarh & Mohali for real time monitoring and tackle any technical problem quickly. He said that the purpose of this entire process is only to ensure that not a single qualified candidate is left behind.
